Greenhouse Gas Verification

Strengthen Your Emissions Reporting with Greenhouse Gas Verification

Accredited Verification for Your Company's GHG Inventory

Understanding your company’s carbon emissions data is vital to managing your carbon footprint. Annual third-party verification of your GHG inventory ensures your reporting is free of material errors giving you much greater confidence in reporting. Verified accounting is vital to management of climate-related risks, identifying cost-saving opportunities and keeping pace with regulatory compliance. Greenhouse Gas verification may soon be required by the SEC and a growing list of other agencies including GSA, the state of California and the EU with their CSRD initiative.  Accurate GHG reporting is also increasingly important in supply chains and required by some major retailers. Showcasing your GHG verification in your CSR report also enhances brand reputation and competitiveness and gives stakeholders greater confidence in your reporting.

CORSIA

CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation)

The Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) is a global scheme to ensure the low carbon growth of the international aviation sector from 2020 onward. CORSIA is the world's first mandatory sector-specific compliance carbon pricing scheme. Under CORSIA, all airline operators with annual emissions greater than 10,000 tonnes of CO2 are required to report their emissions from international flights on an annual basis.

WRI

World Resources Institute (WRI) Greenhouse Gas Protocol

The WRI Greenhouse Gas Protocol is the global standard for companies and organizations to measure and manage their GHG emissions. The most popular standard used today, the GHG Protocol provides the accounting platform for virtually every corporate GHG reporting program in the world. It includes a series of standards that can be used by companies, cities, communities and more as a framework for showcasing excellence in the reporting of greenhouse gas inventories. The popularity is driven by deep stakeholder consultation facilitated by WRI and WBCSD.

CDP

CDP

CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project is a not-for-profit the runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions. 18,700+ companies disclose to CDP representing half of global market capitalization. The platform is heavily utilized by investors who request companies to disclose through CDP.

The Climate Registry

The Climate Registry (TCR)

TCR is an independent non-profit that operates the preeminent voluntary GHG resporting program in North America. In the last 10 years, leading companies, universities, electric utilities and government agencies have registered more than 1.8billion tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). TCR members use their rigorous, best-practice reporting guidance to measure and report their carbon inventories in CRIS (Climate Registry Information System).

CARB

California Air Resources Board (CARB) Mandatory Reporting Requirement (MRR)

Reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by major sources is required by the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32). MRR is applicable to electricity generators, industrial facilities, fuel suppliers and electricity importers. Operators of facilities located in California with specific source categories are subject to reporting when stationary combustion and process emissions of CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O equal or exceed 10,000 metric tons CO₂e for a calendar year.
